Materials needed: Construction Paper, Photos of Teacher and Students, Glue
Instructions
- Start collecting pictures of the teacher and each student. Or a picture of the teacher instructing the class would work wonderfully!
- Use pinking sheers or fancy-edged scrapbook scissors and cut out a piece of construction paper to glue behind and border each photo. Let the construction paper be at least 1 inch wider than the photo. You can also use the pinking sheers or fancy-edged scrapbook scissors to trim around each photo. Paste each photo to the construction paper border.
- Ask each student to write a short paragraph about why the teacher is so special and make sure each child writes its name on the page.
- Again, trim around each child's paragraph and make a construction paper border as you did for the photos. Glue the paragraphs onto the construction paper.
- Glue each child's photo and their paragraph onto a sheet of construction paper. Make sure the page is a different color (use Christmas colors-red, white and green) than the construction paper border around the photo and paragraph. You can also add some related stickers or clip art to the page.
- For the cover of the scrapbook, glue the bordered photo of the teacher onto a piece of construction paper. On white paper print out or write "Mr./Mrs. so-and-so is so special because..." Trim around the title and glue it to a construction paper.
- Use a hole puncher and put 3 to 5 holes down the left edge of each scrapbook page. Make sure all the holes line up. Assemble the pages in order and tie them together by threading ribbon through the holes.
- To help ensure the scrapbook last for a long time, cover both sides of each page with clear construction paper or get it laminated. Congratulations, you have created a great memento for your teacher!
