Ashley Judd

Ashley Tyler Ciminella is one of the green-eyed beauties in Hollywood who have mesmerized the movie-watchers around the world. Ashley Judd was born on April 19, 1968, in Los Angeles, California to Naomi Judd, the sister of Wynonna Judd, the eminent country music star. Ashley's parents got separated when she was only four.

Two years later, her mother Naomi took her kids out of L.A. and moved to central Kentucky. Ashley is popular in Hollywood as an intelligent actor. Over the time Ashley has carefully managed her career, making it loved and adored by the critics. It is said that Ashley has attended a series of schools in thirteen years that has made her adept at adapting. Ashley learned playing fiddle when she was only in the third grade. Despite having a beautiful voice she barely sings in public.

Naomi and Wynonna shoot to fame as the country singer duo. Ashley attended the University of Kentucky, where she learned French and graduated with Phi Beta Kappa in 1990. She had somewhere at the back of her minded the idea of volunteering with the Peace Corps in Africa, but soon perished the idea. Following the advice of her singer-sister, Ashley went to Los Angeles at the age of 23, where she got almost an immediate agency contract. She was a drama student at Playhouse West School and Repertory Theater in the early 90's.

Ashley got a movie part at her first audition, in "Kuffs" and after that she was showered with title roles in "Ruby in Paradise", for which she also received a New York Film Critics Circle award for the Best female lead and Sundance Film Festival Independent Spirit award. Ashley has been a part of numerous television shows, such as, "Star Trek: The Next Generation", and "Sisters", and also in the TV movie "Till Death Do Us Part".
