In the first period of the life of James Cameron, he used to work as a truck driver, but after he watched the movie Star Wars he left his job and tried hard to step into the world of entertainment as a successful filmmaker. It is said that once he had fallen ill and he had a bad dream about a fire coming to kill him; when he woke up he had a clear idea about what he had to do about the film. The film was made under Pacific Western Productions. James Cameron then to be wife Gale Anne Hurd became the producer of the film and Orion Pictures accomplished the business of distribution. Another most important event was the choice of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the role of Kyle Reese.
James Cameron's next success in Hollywood the legendary movie Rambo: First Blood Part II. Sylvester Stallone played the leading role in this film. James Cameron then had many successful movies to come. The long list includes films like Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2: Judgment Day and many others. But after the successful achievements of the movie called True Lies James Cameron concentrated on a film project that brought him as many as eleven Oscars. This priceless work was titled as Titanic. Leonardo de Caprio played the hero and Kate Winslet played the role of the heroine in the movie. This movie was the biggest success in Hollywood. It became the highest grossing film in the history of Hollywood.
Apart from the many Oscars that James Cameron has bagged, he also got the Bradbury Award from the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. In the film Titanic James Cameron showed how to explore the underwater photographing techniques. For this reason James Cameron received an Honorary degree from the University of Southampton.
