Make sure that your skin and lips are well moisturized to start out with as your skin is the base for all the make-up and if your skin is healthy then the make-up will look better. Start out by using a primer which acts as a barrier between your skin and Make-up. A good choice would be the M·A·C Primer, which is essentially a skin conditioner that prevents the make-up from clogging in your pores keeping your skin healthy. Use an oil based concealer under your eyes or on any dark spots or blemishes. Ensure that the concealer is a shade lighter than your foundation.
In case you do not want to use a concealer, you could use an eye shadow in a yellow or white tone. Next apply foundation all over your face, blend with your fingers. Make sure that the foundation is compatible to your skin tone. While choosing foundation, apply some on your inner wrist and the one that matches your skin color perfectly, is the one you ought to buy. Make sure your foundation is well blended so that your skin appears flawless. Dab some powder over the foundation to ensure that it stays that way all night.
Use blush that is powder based as opposed to cream based blush, as it will stay on for a longer time. Use a rosy peaches and plums blush which will give you a natural look accentuating your cheek bones.
