Smart phones are capable of processing data in a modern technology. The QWERTY keyboards, touch screen are some of the specialty of smart phones. The facilities that are common in computers and in some of the cellular phones make those cellular phones, smart phones. The expanded memory of smart phones allows them to serve a few jobs that are usually done by computers. Apart from storing a wide range of data these are instrumental in processing a few necessary word documents.
There are mainly two types of smart phones available in the market. The first one is a PDA phone, which is a cell phone with PDA facilities. These phones are bigger in size than ordinary phones. PDA is actually a small consumer electronic device that has striking similarities with hand-held computers. Apart from the services given by a phone, it serves almost as a personal diary or a personal database.
Another sort of smart phone looks somewhat similar to the ordinary cell phone. Some of these phones are equipped with Microsoft Windows Mobile functionality. These smart phones are small and light and therefore can be carried to anywhere easily. These are even lighter than the PDA phones. But unlike PDA phones, these are not equipped with wide screen or QWERTY keyboard. This makes entering data into the memory of the phones a little difficult. Sony Ericsson smart phones are the most popular nowadays. Ordinary mobile phones are almost passé. With smart phones serving both as a cellular phone and a computer people hardly turn to ordinary mobile phones. Affordability is the main factor behind people's incapability to buy it. But when the features offered by the phone are considered, its price is reasonable.
