The invasive exotics mostly represent the generalized characteristics like rapid maturation, reproduction by both seed and vegetative growth, long flowering and fruiting periods, prolific seed production, and seed dispersal by animals. In their home front these plants are kept in restraint by a diversity of earthy agents, including predators and pathogens. But on being carried outside their natural environs these invasive exotics plants tend to run rampant in the absence of these checking factors.

Venus Flytrap or Dionaea muscipula is a carnivorous plant, which catches, and stomachs animal prey like mostly insects and arachnoids. The terminal portion of each of the plant's leaves form the trapping structure. The plant's name is kept in reference to the Roman goddess of love and plant life Venus. This plant forms a rosette of four to seven leaves rising from a short subterranean stem, which is a bulb-like rhizome.

Passionflower or Passiflora; syn. Disemma Labill belongs to a genus of about 500 species of flowering plants in the breed of Passifloraceae.
